Teaching Modern Foreign Languages within the primary education setting is not just important because it is now required by the curriculum, but also because it helps children to develop a greater cultural awareness and compliments and enhances their learning in other areas. However, equipping children to a build a firm foundation in Modern Foreign Languages without a language specialism can be a major challenge.
LLNE supports teachers to deliver French and Spanish from reception through to KS2 in their weekly lessons by either directly delivering French or Spanish lessons or supporting the teachers in their delivery.
As with all our private tuition and classes, our school lesson plans are tailored to each school's needs. Each lesson focuses on knowledge acquisition, application and consolidation, and uses a variety of interactive and engaging methods. Before finalising lesson plans we will meet with your teachers and discuss current learning focus, topics and school ethos and incorporate these into the lesson plans.
At LLNE we believe that language teaching does not end when we leave the classroom, written embedding activities are provided for all lessons ensuring that language learning is a continual process helping to increase retention and ensure progress. To aid teachers marking, progress tracking and student reporting is provided as standard.
Many schools have already invested in a Modern Foreign Language scheme or programme. The LLNE schema of work and lesson plans can be linked to this material to increase its accessibility for the children (and teachers) thus helping your school leverage the most out of their investment.
